Soul food

Got my mojo working… some holidays feed your soul in more ways than one.

After 10 days off-grid (yep, no social media 🚫📱) immersed in the vibrant culture, rich history and sheer diversity of New Orleans, I’ve returned with a spring in my step, a song in my heart and my curiosity fed – for now!

🎨 From learning about early settlers and plantations to discovering the art of Benny Andrews

🎷 From dancing to live music over lunch to soaking up jazz at the Preservation Hall

🏡 From exploring shotgun houses in Treme to mansions in the Garden District

🐊 From spotting alligators in the swamplands to crossing the longest bridge in the USA over Lake Pontchartrain (23.8 miles)

🍽️ The unforgettable food: pecan pie at Brigtsen’s, gumbo at Commander’s Palace, beignets at Café du Monde, to name a few…and the vibe and welcoming stay at Virgin Hotels

Felt right at home in this unique and eclectic city.

New Orleans’ cultural hotpot reminds me of the power of diversity and the beauty of finding alignment amidst difference – a theme that resonates deeply with my work.

How do you feed your soul and gain perspective?

When was the last time you had a digital detox and what did you gain from it?
