Championing gender equality: My role as a delegate at CSW68

Delighted to have been selected as a delegate for UN Women UK at the 68th Commission on the Status of Women

Looking forward to connecting and collaborating with global leaders, activists and change-makers from around the world to accelerate the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.

For those who may not know, I was born in a developing South American country where education was my gateway out of poverty. In my early teens, I was sent to live in England in the pursuit of a better future.

Having weathered the storms of gender and racial discrimination, I understand the challenges faced by women and ethnically diverse individuals. This fuelled my passion to establish a consulting firm which I ran for 6 years supporting women to progress and secure senior leadership positions.

During my time in the corporate world, I have championed and led DEI initiatives and am thrilled to re-embrace my role as a passionate advocate for a cause that deeply resonates with me.
