Have you ever experienced:
× Constant tiredness despite enough sleep
× Difficulty making decisions
× Increased frustration or irritability
× Tasks taking longer or feeling more challenging
× Physical symptoms like headaches or muscle tension
× Overwhelm and loss of enthusiasm
This was me and my body telling me to pause, stop, take a break, rest, recharge…..And I did. I’m not one for spa breaks and only discovered this recently through a group of good friends.
🧘♂️ A few days away at Coworth Park has certainly helped to melt away tension, quieten the mind, nourish the soul….allowing fresh thinking to surface, new perspectives to emerge and my creativity to be ignited….
🔋 It has helped to enhance my focus, recalibrate, realign and provided clarity of ‘where to next’….watch this space for more on this ✨
🤔 I have come to realise that incorporating such breaks into my schedule isn’t just about pampering, it’s about performance, rejuvenating and fortifying my resilience and vitality
🌱 Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s a fundamental aspect of leadership effectiveness. When we prioritise our own well-being, we become better equipped to handle the challenges and complexities of our roles. We think more clearly, make better decisions, and inspire those around us to do the same.
💪 So, how can we incorporate self-care into our busy schedules? For me it starts with a mindset shift. Instead of viewing self-care as an indulgence, I’m starting to recognise it as a strategic investment in my own success.
🏊♂️Whether it’s carving out time for exercise, meditation or simply unplugging from technology, small acts of self-care can have a profound impact on our overall well-being.
🌺 How do you prioritise self-care in your own leadership journey?
