Women Leadership Challenge

I was on the look out to participate in  a physical challenge when one of my colleagues came across a request for women leaders :

“Pepal launches the Women’s International Leadership Challenge in collaboration with the Leadership Trust. The programme provides a unique opportunity for women executives to share their knowledge and expertise with women community leaders in Uganda (January 2011) and India (February 2011). The programme will support a cross-cultural exchange of skills and perspectives by teaming professional women from across the globe with influential female community and NGO leaders in Uganda and India respectively. Each participating NGO is invited to select 2-3 women leaders to attend the programme, and to identify an organisational challenge to tackle during the programme. These leaders will work with their international private sector peers to resolve the real-time organisational challenge”

As someone who thrives on a challenge and who has never been to India, this presented itself as an opportunity. My blog is about my journey as I take on this challenge and I hope that by sharing my stories and experiences, you will also take on your own challenges and journeys. And if you have taken part in such an experience, I would be delighted to hear from you.
